Project Anti Bully recognizes each student's special uniqueness and wants to encourage students to embrace it by not being afraid to be different. With this in mind, our newest campaign Chalk for Change is a creative and fun way to engage students in developing unity and acceptance for all students throughout the world, of all race, age, and color.
Project Anti Bully is using their motto Raise Awareness, Not
Anger in Chalk for Change! By demonstrating to students that they should put down their fists and raise their voice to be heard, Chalk for Change encourages students to take a stand!
Chalk for Change is a campaign that is dedicated to the students
who have lost their lives because of the terribly crude affects of
bullying.
On January 15, 2010, Phoebe Prince who was a fifteen year old freshman at South Hadley High School was bullied to death by a group of six teenagers in her high-school. By the constant verbal harassment, exclusion, and physical harassment that she experienced daily, Phoebe Prince had decided to take her live because emotional and mental affects from the situation became to overwhelming. Project Anti Bully has decided to dedicate Chalk for Change to Phoebe Prince.

The Project Anti Bully team members (individuals hosting, teachers, students, etc) will provide their entire school (specific grades) with a sufficient amount of chalk so that each student will be able to be eligible to get a piece. Students who participate in this event (optional ) pay for a piece of colorful chalk of their choice for $1.00; all money will be put forward towards the future continuation of research for Project Anti Bully.
The different available pieces of colorful chalk symbolize the students standing up for change of students of all colors, races, and ages. Chalk is a washable fun creative way for students to express themselves. The use of this material will not cause damage to any property of school, if drawn on the sidewalks or streets.
The members (individuals hosting) are to distribute the chalk pieces to students and have them decorate and design a designated area (one the school has granted permission for) of a street, sidewalk, part of the ground, or building etc. Students are free to draw and design anything they wish as long as it?s appropriate. It is a wonderfully fun and exciting way for students to engage in interacting with each other.
